I found this old drawing of the late Philip Johnson recently.

I am flying to Chicago for a portrait commission tomorrow Friday, returning Sunday.  I will stay with my old friends and spend an hour or two getting photo references of my three subjects, which I will be painting in a full size triple portrait.

I did this gravestone etching last week.  I use a diamond tip dremel type instrument to scratch off the stone polish, so I’m drawing in white on the stone more or less.  I have done hundreds of these over the years, and I barter for stone and sandblasting for my sculptures.

I have been busy on either side of my recent open studio.  Here is an image of the presentation.
